MABEL Robot Tercepat di Dunia Bergerak Dengan Kecepatan 10.9 Km/Jam


Para peneliti dari University of Michigan Amerika berhasil menciptakan sebuah robot yang diklaim menjadi robot tercepat di dunia. Mabel, nama robot tersebut mampu bergerak dengan kecepatan 10.9 km/jam, mengalahkan robot Toyota dan ASIMO yang masing-masing hanya mampu bergerak dengan kecepatan 4.3 km/jam dan 3.7 km/jam.
Dilansir dari Kompas.com, robot ini memiliki kemampuan berlari yang cukup cepat berkat desain fisiknya yang menyerupai karateristik manusia. Misalnya robot ini memiliki rangka badan yang lebih berat dibandingkan dengan kaki, serta hubungan antar rangka dan alat gerak yang bisa dikatakan mirip dengan tendon di tubuh manusia.
Dalam sebuah video yang beredar bebas di Youtube, robot tersebut mampu mengayunkan kaki dan gerakan naik turun tubuh yang benar-benar mirip manusia. Robot tersebut menghabiskan waktu 40 persen waktu berlari pada ‘fase terbang’ dengan tua kaki tak menyentuh tanah, sama seperti manusia.
