Upload foto di Twitter kini dapat langsung melalui Twitter

Twitter akhirnya menambahkan layanan foto sharing / upload foto yang sebelumnya telah diumumkan pada 2 Juni 2011 hasil kerjasama dengan Photobucket.

Mulai hari ini semua pengguna Twitter.com mampu mengupload foto ke setiap tweet yang ditulis dengan mengklik gambar kamera yang ada dipojok kiri bawah kotak tweet.

Foto yang bisa diupload adalah maksimum sebesar 3MB, akan terlihat sebagai link (pic.twitter.com) dengan gambar yg akan discale sehingga muat didalam display pane yang ada di samping kanan Twitter.com timeline.

Foto akan langsung terlihat bagi yang user yang menfollow akun pengupload, dan bagi yang tidak menfollow akan menampilkan “Click to display media”. Foto juga dapat diberi hashtag dan tweet berisi foto yang dibuat dari akun terproteksi (protected account) hanya akan dapat dilihat oleh para follower.

Fitur Gallery picture untuk menampung foto yang diupload oleh user maupun kehadiran applikasi mobile yang mendukung upload foto di twitter direncanakan akan segera menyusul kemudian.

Hadirnya native photo upload di Twitter yang mudah digunakan dan terintegrasi tentunya menjadi ancaman serius bagi applikasi 3rd party yang memberikan layanan serupa seperti Yfrog, Twitpict, Plixi, dll.
